1. OtterWater528 - Do all joule thief designs make that high pitched sound you hear when it is on like in this video? I'd prefer a design that lacks that high pitched sound. I suppose the sound could be dampened greatly by an enclosure.

5. lepayen - Glad I found this video again. I followed your instructions exactly, about 10 dozen times. Not one time did this circuit do a thing. I even tried setting up the torroid transformers differently, no change. I know not every way I set it up was wrong, there's only a small number of ways to connect the transformers. If this really works, I should have got it to work just through trial and error. If it does work, I would like to know if you would make and sell me about 4 of them for $50

11. MyWillyboi - LMFAO, you said "20 fairoid core" Um dude it's a ferrite core toroid with 20 turns. THe "scream" you hear is the Transistor 

12. A B - I can't find a datasheet for "S0038 transistor" Where did you get that transistor from?

    Also, can you provide a detailed description, part number, & inexpensive vendor for the toroid-shaped ferrite core?
