  1. Yaakov Yisroel - THEESE VIDEOS SHOULD BE CALLED ARTARDS WITH WANNA BE TELSA COILS. THE SAME FOR THE VAN DE GRPAH GENERATORS.
  2. stefa4k0 - fuck thomas edison
  3. morkiuzz - why would you need a spark gap for AC?
  4. Brandon Veracka - Excellent basic explanation of the Tesla Coil! I think there are many people out there who want to build (or just own) one, but do not respect the amount of electrical, technical, and engineering know-how in order to build yourself a [relatively] safe coil.
  5. Tony Tiger - A Tesla Coil is an air-core resonant transformer. It has loose coupling between primary and secondary winding. The capacitor is connected across the primary winding through the spark gap. This parallel resonant circuit ( Tank Circuit ) discharges its energy into the primary winding in the form of a damped high frequency oscillation. The resonant frequency of this circuit is determined by the values of the primary capacitor and primary winding. The close proximity of the primary and secondary windings causes magnetic coupling between them. The primary oscillation energy passes back and forth between the primary capacitor and the primary inductor. The capacitance of the secondary winding and the capacitance between the Toroid and ground result in another parallel resonant circuit being made with the secondary inductance. A Tesla Coil's resonant frequency is determined by the values of the secondary inductance and its stray capacitance. The resonant frequency of the capacitor and primary coil needs to be the same as the resonant frequency of the secondary circuit so that the secondary can couple the oscillating magnetic field of the primary. This is very important or it won't produce it's maximum spark output. You can tell when a Tesla Coil is tuned correctly by the sound and the sparks. A Tesla Coil will always need to be slightly tuned every time you operate it. Even the humidity of the air plays a role. See the video of my Tesla Coil.
  6. Erikas Savickas - All do respect, try to understand how it works ALL BY YOURSELF before you upload anything. You either have been told wrongly, either you studying from wrong books. And be careful with that one as you call it high "Voltage transformer" it has been executed in the worst possible way. It can harm you and your neighbors , and you will know until later, might even years later and you will not remember what made you sick. Remove spark gap from underneath and keep at least two feet away from secondary, in fact remove everything from underneath secondary.
  7. AFID Clan - Hmm. Touching Dangerous electronics with a copper rod? Brilliant!
  8. saucersource - The voltage from a disconnected coil can not be calculated but it is surely very high in a MAX to Zero current swing in the spark gap. The coil voltage can only mean one thing the coil is holding charge as surely as a capacitor does and does one thing a capacitor can't and that is to induce like charge into the secondary. Forced oscillations will occur but I feel the charge induction between coils is a factor of great importance. There are other things Nikola Tesla did in Colorado Springs that make DC the overriding output enabling superior motive forces for particle and X-Ray uses.
  9. pleps5 - Is this volts on the gravity of the human rights Is it kill or shoot him when it's not dangerous?
  10. Ray Mosier - Wabbit season.
  11. Bobby Tectalabyss - Awesome job on the build and explanation . Looking forward to more videos.
  12. Riskteven - I wonder what would happen if you fed it with an AC of around 2-2.5 GHz or so? I imagine it would need much power, but how would the arcs be like?
  13. ConcurrentFlame - What the use for an alternating current they say. ITLL BE POINTLESS THEY SAY!
  14. Graham Davies - This is a terrible attempt at an explanation.
  15. Frank yamas - niiiiiiice work!!
  16. Nether Rack - Actually its 230 Volts not 120 Volts
  17. Muap - As Nikola designed the tesla to intake electric voltages, not disperse them. As lighting works, positive charges are at tips, and when those magnetic fields are created the Torus produces positive charges, and the volts of lighting you see are coming from that transparent magnetic filed with negative charges, so the voltage builds up through the magnetic filed and when the charges are negatively charges they go into the positive charges on the tips of the Torus. As lighting works, the ground creates or conductors on the ground create streamers(Plasma filaments) it sends positive charges to hit the negative charges, If I'm not mistaken, same concept applies. Correct me If I'm wrong. :D
  18. CaptBill1111 - "It generates high voltage electric sparks into the air" ??? So you power it with electricity, it increases that electricity, and "sparks it into the air"? So with your type of coil, you need to have your own electricity to supply the coil, which in turn just throws it away, by dispersing it into the air? That is a pointless waste of electricity, and nothing more than a Novelty Item. That is NOT what Nikola Tesla invented. Tesla's coils did the Exact opposite. That is why his work is so notable.
  19. Tesla Explorer - Topology
  20. Life is illusion - I don't understand how can the capacitor be charged when there is a solenoid shorting the circuit :S Why does this system work? I can't understand it at all... Why electricity does not go through the solenoid in the first place even if solenoid is in parallel with the capacitor? I would really appreciate your answer :)
  21. AceGod7 - technically u can create artificial storm with this
  22. Nicolai Regler - I see you have two NST's how did you connect them both in series or parallel or are they connected at all?
  23. Rogelio Sanchez - you got it backwards? the real tesla coil gets energy form heat from air...
  24. Garret Hook - How do you get it to sing?
  25. 0000001100000 - Absolutely hilarious... The Home Depot 5 gallon bucket capacitor..."you can do it, we can help" hahhah
